Our Story
Meet Lanissa
Greetings! I’m Lanissa Youngquist, owner and designer of Sweet & Petite Party Designs. Bringing joy and celebrating life’s memorable milestones is at the heart of my business.
My professional background is in events, retail merchandising and styling displays, with a degree in Interior Design. I’ve spent decades helping clients find a design that fits their creative needs. Whether it is designing a tablescape, furniture arrangement, wedding invitations or handmade party décor - throughout my professional career I’ve always been visualizing and creating something beautiful and one of a kind.
My custom designs and warm-hearted spirit will bring originality to your next event that you will cherish!
“Hands down the best way to add a special and unique touch to your party. Lanissa is professional and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend.”

Party Mama
I always say I am a full-time Mama and part-time Party Mama. I began this biz when my first daughter was just a toddler. Now my daughters are thirteen and nine and full of charisma and creativity! They too never pass up an opportunity to decorate, dress up and throw confetti. Their favorite parties to plan are for their cat and chickens!
Mountain Mama
When I’m not throwing parties I’m up in the mountains, floating on an river or camping with family- enjoying our beautiful PNW. I’m a Washington born and raised. I’ve lived all over our state and couldn’t imagine raising a family or throwing a party any where else. (Even in our weather!)

Giving Back
Owning a small business gives me the opportunity to share, donate and support the community around me that is important to me! When I started out, I was looking for a local non-profit organization that my young girls and I could volunteer at together and give back as a business. Finding Birthday Dreams was the perfect fit! In my years with Sweet & Petite I have volunteered in multiple positions in the home office, fundraisers and their annual Gala. Find more information about how to give back to the homeless children in your area by volunteering and donating to: Birthday Dreams

Little & Local
Another important piece to giving back and connecting with my community is continuing to support other local, small businesses. I understand that we face challenges and doing it alone can be scary! Lifting each other up through our support in social media, collaborative projects and simply buying local gives back to my fellow business owners, drives their revenue to source a family income and helps them achieve a dream of success! I purchase at local markets & shop, buy fresh from local farms, and eat out at locally owned restaurants. Follow my social media pages to hear the latest markets and small businesses in and around the Renton and Seattle areas:
